Shelley Moore Capito announced today that the EPA awarded the money to the Greenbrier County Public Service District No. 2. The money will go to extending waterlines to serve the area between Charmco and Rainelle. It will also serve the area between Sam Black Chruch and Clintonville.

This funding was through a Congressionally Directed Spending Request, that Senator Capito made in the 2022 fiscal year.

“Through my roles on the EPW and appropriations committees, I was able to authorize and secure the funding to move water infrastructure projects forward in West Virginia,” said Capito. “This particular award will help ensure that communities in Greenbrier County have access to water for drinking and use in case of emergency. I look forward to seeing these projects completed and the benefits they will offer residents.”
