CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Eight West Virginia health centers will receive almost $13.5 million from the federal government, the state's two U.S. senators announced.
The funding is from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, according to a news release from Republican Shelley Moore Capito and Democrat Joe Manchin.
Recipients are Shenandoah Valley Medical System, $3.3 million; Community Care of West Virginia, $3.3 million; New River Health Association, $1.7 million; Community Health Systems, $2.3 million; Wirt County Health Service Association, more than $577,000; Cabin Creek Health Systems, more than $692,000; Lincoln County Primary Care Center, more than $598,000; and WomenCare, more than $835,000.
