WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced that the Fairmont-Morgantown Housing Authority will be awarded $125,000 in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP). Specifically, the funding supports fair housing activities that educate the public and housing providers about equal opportunity in housing and compliance with the fair housing laws.

“We must continue to devote the necessary resources to provide fair housing education and outreach programs to West Virginians, and this HUD funding helps make residents aware of the resources available to them,” Senator Capito said. “I am proud to help secure this funding for the Fairmont-Morgantown Housing Authority, and I look forward to the positive work this funding will support.”
