POCAHONTAS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, and member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $939,500 for the Upper Greenbrier River Watershed Fish Passage, funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
“Overseeing the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service in the Environment and Public Works Committee gives us an opportunity to identify areas across West Virginia to preserve and strengthen our natural ecosystems and habitats,” Ranking Member Capito said. “The funding announced today as part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will help restore the Greenbrier River and protect the fish that inhabit it, and I’ll continue to advocate for resources like this that promote preservation efforts in our communities.”
