WASHINGTON (WV News) — U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, and member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $99,412 for the EdVenture Group in Morgantown, W.Va. through the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC).
“Finding innovative ways to prepare the next generation of West Virginia’s leaders is critical to our state’s future, and it’s great to see the Appalachian Regional Commission recognize a successful nonprofit, EdVenture in Morgantown, for their work in this area,” Ranking Member Capito said. “At the EPW Committee, we oversee and work closely with the ARC, and I’m looking forward to seeing the positive local impact this investment will have.”
