FOLLANSBEE, W.Va. — In addition to a visit to Weirton, West Virginia U. S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito also stopped by Follansbee.
There, she met with civic and business leaders and discussed a plethora of issues important to the region.
“I think clean water and wastewater are critical for economical development,” Capito said. “Not just to expand on the business side, but to be able to expand residentially.”
Capito said businesses – whether look to expand or relocate – have to have capacity.
“We’ve found in Follansbee, and in Weirton, that capacity is limited.”
Capito also discussed with leaders continuing broadband improvements, which she views as key to continued business development in the region.
