U.S. Senator Shelly Moore Capito (R-WV) visited Doss Enterprises last week as part of a week long tour of businesses throughout West Virginia. Founder Dwaine Doss met with Capito, and the two discussed the company’s safety record and the hiring of more employees.
Capito deemed Doss Enterprises a success, saying, “It’s a great story of starting from scratch.”
Doss Enterprises currently employs over 230 people.
Capito also wanted to hear how energy reform and tax reform have affected businesses, giving examples of increased spending from across the state.
Capito inquired of Doss if there was anything her office could do, with the only request being an infrastructure package, including road construction and development, which would equal more jobs.
Capito also discussed the opioid epidemic in WV, and how it has affected a business’s ability to hire people. She touched on the lack of treatment options available in WV, as well.
