WESTON, W.Va. - Senator Shelley Moore Capito was visiting two area counties on a tour through the region Wednesday.

Capito's first stop was Doss Enterprises in Jane Lew, citing it as a local business that has benefited from new tax cuts passed by Congress.

Staff said they're been working to expand their workforce, and the cuts provided by Congress will help them do so.

"We have a bigger allowance, if you will, due to the shortage of taxes that we have to pay, and we get incentives when we invest our money into equipment and whatnot.  We have a better write-off margin," said manager Dwaine Doss.

"The tax reform bill, the tax cut bill has been a big help to Dwaine and his business, and it's been a pleasure to meet folks here to see how positive they feel about the way the economy's moving," Capito said.

Capito also spoke at the 2018 Small Business Awards Celebration in Fairmont later Wednesday afternoon.
