The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration for Children and Families (ACF) has awarded $2,337,373 to support Head Start services at the Fayette County Child Development Center.
“Head Start Programs provide the resources for communities to give their students an early childhood education that will support them in the classroom for years to come,” said U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.
U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., said, “A good education is integral to future success, which is why it is important that we work to support programs that spur learning at a young age. This funding will help give children in Fayette County access to early childhood education programs, providing opportunity as they learn and grow.”
