MORGANTOWN — U.S. Senators Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., this week announced about $5.9 million in grants for programs aimed at ending homelessness.
Three area groups received grants totaling $868,293:
Bartlett House received $109,918 for its West Run Permanent Supportive Housing project.
North Central West Virginia Community Action, based in Fairmont, received $93,309 for two projects.
The WVU Research Corporation received $665,066 for five projects.
The grants were provided under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Continuum of Care Program.
