Three Americans who were held as prisoners in Russia are getting to spend their first weekend back in the country. It was part of a large-scale prisoner swap involving several countries.
Senator Shelley Moore Capito told 7 News Russia continues to unfairly hold other American prisoners.
“It’s amazing to me the way the Russians just incarcerate so harshly and then make up all these trumped-up charges. There are still people that are incarcerated in Russia.”

Officials say 24 people from different countries were released in this exchange, which marks one of the largest prisoner swaps since the end of the Cold War.
