West Virginia - Yesterday marked six months of tax reform in West Virginia.

Senator Shelley Moore Capito spoke on the floor about the positive changes West Virginians received as a result of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Highlighting several examples, she covered businesses, individuals and family aspects. Senator Capito expressed that the cut is not isolated, but in fact helping the country. She says already four million workers have received bonuses across the country.

"What we’re seeing is a more robust economy, over a million jobs created across the country, greater consumer confidence we’ve seen in 20 years, lowest unemployment we’ve seen in a long time," said Senator Capito.

Senator Capito also gave Harpers Ferry National Park Chief Historian, Dennis Frye, a shout-out at the end of her speech to thank him for his service. She also participated in a full committee markup of two government funding bills earlier today.
