Guess who’s coming to dinner?

Senator Shelley Moore Capito served as the featured speaker this evening at the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dinner.

It all kicked off at the Moundsville Center with a happy hour at 5pm, followed by the main program at 6.

This dinner is held each year to recognize community members for all of their work over the past year, as they bring together local leaders, businesses and more.

Senator Capito says it’s been great to see the growing business environment throughout the area.

“Well, you know, this is the Chamber of Commerce of Marshall County, Moundsville, where I grew up. And so I’ve reconnected with some old friends and friends of my parents, which is fun. But it’s great to see the growing business environment here, small businesses, the excitement that Marshall County has with some of the new renovations at the courthouse and the health department. And so I also get to hear how I can help, and that’s important for me.”

Senator Capito went on to say the world may be in a dangerous position right now, but to have faith in the country.
