Bethany College held its 184th commencement on Saturday, with many families and friends gathering to celebrate the accomplishments of their loved ones.
United States Senator for West Virginia, Shelley Moore Capito, was the 2024 commencement speaker. Capito said she is honored to be at Bethany and wants to inspire and congratulate the next generation as they step into their next chapter.
"It is really about the graduates, it is about their instructors and their teachers, a day of celebration and their parents, families, and friends, and sort of launching them into the wider world. And I'm so proud of Bethany here in West Virginia, what they have done in the past and what they will do in the future," said United States Senator for West Virginia, Shelley Moore Capito.
Bethany College awarded students on Saturday who completed their bachelor's and master's degrees, with Capito also receiving an honorary degree.
