Several grants were secured for initiatives and projects in Huntington through Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., leader of the Senate Appropriations Committee, according to a release.
These grants included rural development funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to “purchase and install energy efficiency equipment” for Burgoo Solar LLC ($193,049); Wampus Beast Solar LLC ($175,584); Mud River Solar LLC ($165,385); Ravenmocker Solar LLC ($123,228); Blackwater River Solar LLC ($115,456); Grafton Monster LLC ($103,984); Buckhannon River Solar LLC ($67,580); Monongahela River Solar LLC ($29,167); and Bald Knob Solar LLC ($26,102).
