West Virginia Sen. Capito announces committee assignments

Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., has announced her committee assignments for the 119th Congress.

Capito, who was recently formally named chair of the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, will also serve on: the Committee on Appropriations; the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation; and the Committee on Rules and Administration.

“I am excited to continue serving on these four committees, which will position me well to advance policies and priorities important to West Virginians,” Capito said in a press release.

In addition to her Senate Committee assignments, Senator Capito will serve as chairman of the Republican Policy Committee, the fourth-highest ranking position in Senate GOP leadership.
