WASHINGTON – This upcoming Monday, Supreme Court Nominee Judge Neil Gorsuch will be go before the Judiciary Committee as they review his record and consider his nomination.

President Trump nominated Judge Gorsuch to fill the Supreme Court seat after the death of Antonin Scalia.

West Virginia senator, Shelley Moore Capito, has shown support for Gorsuch since his nomination in February.

She says that Monday’s confirmation hearing will be a good opportunity for the judge to give testimonies and be questioned by both sides.

"The way the system's set up, it's going to be very open. He's going to be able to express and answer tough questions, answer easy questions and talk about his vision of the constitution,” Capito said.

If Gorsuch is successfully voted out of the Judiciary Committee, his nomination will be debated on the floor of the Senate within the next two weeks.
