WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) announced $1,074,964 in funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration for Children and Families (ACF) to support Head Start services in Pendleton, Grant, Hardy and Hampshire counties.
“A strong education is the basis for a bright future,” Senator Capito said. “I am glad this funding is coming to West Virginia to help engage our children in the lifelong pursuit of learning.”
“Head Start programs are an important part of our educational landscape in West Virginia,” Senator Manchin said. “I’m excited to see this funding head to Pendleton, Grant, Hardy and Hampshire counties because it will ensure young children are forming a strong educational foundation for their future.”
