WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $1,720,926 in funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to combat mental health disorders and primary care services for mothers and children.
“Federal investments like these grants help state and local leaders provide quality health care services and conduct research to improve the lives of West Virginians,” Senator Capito said. “This funding will support services for West Virginia mothers and their children and educate students about mental health issues. I am thrilled to see this funding come to our communities, and I will continue to fight for resources that benefit the health and well-being of West Virginians.”
