WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $846,829 in funding for airport enhancements in Marion, Wayne, and Braxton Counties. The grant is allocated for infrastructure repairs and improvements.
“Access to air travel is so important to West Virginia families, as well as our economy,” Senator Capito said. “This funding will support infrastructure improvements and help purchase necessary equipment for three airports in Braxton, Cabell, and Marion counties. As a member of the Appropriations Committee, I will continue to fight for resources that preserve and expand transportation options for West Virginians.”
