WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) today announced a total of $9,989,178 from the U.S Department of Health and Human Resources (HHS) will be awarded to Head Start programs in West Virginia.

“Head Start programs have been key in guiding young West Virginians on a path toward success,” Senator Capito said. “That’s why I am glad to see this substantial funding headed to programs in West Virginia so they can continue providing our next generation of students with health and educational services that will enhance their lives.”

“Our kids deserve the best chances at success, and it is important to invest in programs like Head Start that will lead the next generation to a brighter tomorrow,” Senator Manchin said. “This funding will continue to help these programs provide access to the education, health and social services that our families and children need to thrive today and in the future.”

  • $4,579,038 – Regional Education Service Agency 8
