WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) announced a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for programs at West Virginia State University to support outreach and technical assistance for veteran and minority farmers.
“This funding is great news for West Virginia State University and will go to programs that enrich the lives of our veterans,” said Senator Capito.
"I am pleased to see this funding awarded to West Virginia State University to the agribusiness initiatives they have invested in the last several years,” Senator Manchin said. “These programs improve the lives of each participant and their community. This is great news for West Virginia State University and our entire state.”
