WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $409,000 from NeighborWorks America (NeighborWorks) to support the Homeownership Center in Elkins, W.Va. and CommunityWorks in West Virginia, Inc. in Charleston, W.Va. This funding will support projects that bolster communities, revitalize neighborhoods, preserve affordable housing, and create jobs in West Virginia.
“West Virginians love where they live, value their neighbors, and want to see their communities thrive. This funding will deliver resources that offer greater community engagement, help fight poverty, provide access to affordable housing, and contribute to the betterment of our state at the local level,” Senator Capito said.
