WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) today announced her committee assignments for the 118th Congress. Senator Capito will continue serving on four U.S. Senate committees—including the Committee on Appropriations; the Committee on Environment and Public Works; the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation; and the Committee on Rules and Administration.
“My efforts to advance legislation and initiatives beneficial to West Virginia and West Virginians are strengthened by continuing to serve on the four committees I am currently on, the Environment and Public Works Committee; the Appropriations Committee; the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee; and the Rules and Administration Committee,” Senator Capito said. “Through these assignments, I have been able to author and pass legislation, and conduct critical oversight of the Biden administration, in areas from energy development, infrastructure funding, economic enhancement, and broadband deployment. I have also been able to secure hundreds of millions of dollars in Congressionally Directed Spending for programs and projects throughout West Virginia. I look forward to the opportunities to work with my colleagues in this Congress to advance ideas and policies that can help our great state grow in every way possible.”
