WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee and a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) to the Town of Burnsville, W.Va.
This award, which was secured through a Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) request made by Senator Capito, will provide funding for the expansion of the wastewater collection system in Burnsville.
“I worked with local leaders to understand the need to develop a water system that works efficiently and meets the needs of the residents of Burnsville. I was proud to use my roles on both the EPW and Appropriations Committees to help deliver resources that Burnsville needs to expand its wastewater infrastructure and better serve the community,” Ranking Member Capito said.
