CHARLESTON, W.Va. — U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee and the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $355,372 for West Virginia International Yeager Airport from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) through the Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) Program. This funding was made available through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), and supports erosion control and improved drainage on site.

“Communities across West Virginia continue to see the benefits of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and this grant announcement is yet another example,” Senator Capito said. “The funding announced today from the FAA will continue to modernize Yeager Airport and making it more efficient and sustainable for the future.”
