WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee and the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $380,209 for West Virginia International Yeager Airport from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to design and construct a new 35,000 square yard general aviation apron to accommodate increased use of the general aviation facilities.
“Every day I am working to make sure West Virginia’s infrastructure is keeping pace with the needs for the 21st century,” Senator Capito said. “The funding announced today from the FAA will continue to make sure Yeager Airport can serve a growing customer base and improve the customer experience from the time they arrive to the time they depart.”
