WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly program to the Woodlands Development Group, Inc. in Rupert, W.Va., to support the construction and operation of multifamily rental housing, as well as project-based rental assistance for low-income seniors in West Virginia.
“Resources like these from HUD’s Supportive Housing for the Elderly Program are incredibly important for our seniors, and I’m proud to secure this support that is now on the way to Greenbrier County,” Senator Capito said. “Our seniors have worked hard to make West Virginia a better, stronger state and I will continue to advocate on behalf of efforts that help improve the supply of updated, safe, and affordable housing for them.”
