CHARLESTON, W.Va. — U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, and member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced two grants through the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) for the Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council and Libera.

“Supporting West Virginia’s young women and preparing them for success is critical to their future, and to the future of our state. The funding announced today will make a difference for two nonprofits doing great work to empower women, teens, and girls across West Virginia. Through my role on the EPW Committee that oversees the Appalachian Regional Commission, I’ll continue to look for ways to support local projects having an impact in our communities,” Ranking Member Capito said.

  • $24,665 – Libera
