WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a member of the Universal Service Fund (USF) Working Group, announced that the public can now submit comments to the USF Working Group for a 30-day period closing Friday, August 25th, 2023. The Working Group is led by U.S. Senators Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) and John Thune (R-S.D.), and also includes U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Gary Peters (D-Mich.), and Jerry Moran (R-Kan.), in addition to Senator Capito.

“The USF serves a critical purpose in ensuring communities in West Virginia and across the country are connected with reliable internet access. I look forward to hearing from stakeholders about potential solutions to ensuring the USF is updated, sustainable, and that future programs are feasible,” Senator Capito said.
