WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) today issued the following statement regarding the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor:
“Today, on the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, we remember and honor the thousands who were killed that day and in the war that followed. Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to visit Pearl Harbor and was extremely humbled by the memorial. It was a reminder that out of tragedy emerges strength. As the daughter of a World War II veteran, I am eternally grateful for the sacrifice of those who have served our great nation and fought to defend our freedoms.”
