CHARLESTON, W.Va. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) released the following statement ahead of the Easter holiday on Sunday:

“This Easter, West Virginians will be celebrating a little differently. Coronavirus has sadly stolen away the joys of egg hunts and church fellowship. My hope and prayer this Easter is that regardless of how you choose to worship—whether it be watching services online or on television or praying with a loved one in your home—we are reminded that the church is God’s people, not a building. Although we may be socially distant from each other, we are never distant from His love and mercy. Charlie and I wish you a very blessed and healthy Easter.”
