“Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is one of history’s most revered figures—and for good reason. He was a true American icon who fought bravely and tirelessly for freedom and equality, regardless of the adversity he faced. There is no question that our country is better and stronger because of his words and teachings. It is my hope that all West Virginians will continue to keep Dr. King’s teachings in mind and follow his example. By doing so, we can influence future generations of West Virginians and other Americans to do the same and keep his dream alive.”
