WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) today welcomed Vice President Mike Pence and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross to West Virginia, where they visited Worldwide Equipment, Inc. in White Sulphur Springs. During the visit, the group heard directly from West Virginians about how the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is providing tax relief for working families and helping businesses across the state grow and thrive.
During Wednesday’s visit, the vice president announced that Worldwide Equipment, Inc. would be investing $8 million in its workers in the way of bonuses as a result of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which was signed into law by President Donald J. Trump in December.
“I was thrilled to welcome Vice President Pence and Secretary Ross to the Mountain State,” Senator Capito said. “Since President Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law, the good news keeps rolling in for millions of Americans. Today’s announcement that Worldwide Equipment will invest millions into their business and employees is just another example of how this reform is sparking real economic growth. I was proud to join the vice president for this exciting announcement, and I look forward to delivering many more announcements like this for West Virginia businesses all across the state.”
“Vice President Pence’s visit to my district highlighted how tax reform is already working for West Virginians. The company we visited, Worldwide Equipment, is giving employees bonuses and reinvesting millions, thanks to the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act. Tax cuts are putting more money in the pockets of West Virginia’s hardworking men and women, not Washington. Vice President Pence is a champion for working-class families, and I am proud to stand with him and President Trump to create more jobs, diversify our economy, and make America great again,” Representative Jenkins said.
