WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) today announced $1,977,081 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the State of West Virginia.

The more than $1.9 million grant will be used by the Nicholas County School District for emergency protective measures to secure temporary facilities destroyed or damaged as a result of the historic flooding in West Virginia on June 23, 2016.
