CHARLESTON, W.Va. – U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $2,036,966 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for Head Start programs in Raleigh and Mineral counties.

“Head Start programs have made a real difference for thousands of children throughout West Virginia,” said Senator Capito. “An investment into the children of our state is a direct investment into our future, and programs like this help build a fantastic educational foundation. As a Head Start champion, I will continue to advocate for funding and resources families rely on in West Virginia.”
