WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), both members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Eastern Panhandle Transit Authority (EPTA) will receive $4.5 million in funding to construct a new transit operations center in Martinsburg.

“Building and maintaining quality transportation infrastructure is vital to helping our economy grow and making sure West Virginians can access goods and services in their communities,” Senator Capito said. “By helping to support the construction of a new transit operations center, these resources will help benefit businesses and individuals in the Eastern Panhandle and improve the quality of life for those who call Martinsburg and surrounding areas home.”

“The Eastern Panhandle Transit Authority provides a crucial service throughout the region and expanding their infrastructure will create jobs and drive economic growth that will support Martinsburg and the entire region. I am excited to see this investment come to West Virginia,” Senator Manchin said.
