WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) today announced a total of $355,000 for Highland-Clarksburg Hospital and Cowen Public Service District (PSD) through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Office of Rural Development. Funding will be used to improve the hospital facility and water service to Cowen PSD customers.
“Quality health care facilities and public services are essential for West Virginia’s rural communities,” Senator Capito said. “I am particularly thrilled that part of this funding will go toward improving facilities for those suffering from mental and behavioral health issues, including substance abuse disorders. I will continue to fight for programs that invest in the well-being of West Virginians.”
“I’m glad to see this investment in Highland-Clarksburg Hospital and Cowen Public Service District. Quality healthcare facilities and safe water infrastructure are important elements of our communities. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I will continue to fight for resources to improve our West Virginia communities,” Senator Manchin said.
