CHARLESTON, W.Va. – U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $254,532 for the West Virginia University Research Corporation (WVURC) through the National Science Foundation (NSF). This funding will support a research project that will help medical professionals understand the restoration of walking ability in rehabilitation processes.
“West Virginia University continues to be a leader in the research community throughout higher education institutions and a fantastic representative of the Mountain State,” said Senator Capito. “Research projects such as this not only help move our medical facilities and universities forward, but also pave the way for future generations of West Virginians to build off of these results.
