WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) today announced West Virginia will receive $1,653,935 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to assist in efforts to recover from the June 2016 floods.
 
The funds have been awarded to the West Virginia Department of Homeland Security for the monitoring of debris created by demolishing unsafe privately-owned homes.
