WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) congratulated West Virginia students Alice Guo of Morgantown High School and Luke Watson of University High School who have been selected as U.S. Presidential Scholars. The Presidential Scholars Program honors graduating high school seniors for their academic achievement, accomplishments in the arts and technology, leadership and service to their communities.
“I’m so proud of Alice and Luke for being selected as part of the next Presidential Scholars class! These individuals have worked hard to get to this point and have represented West Virginia so well. This recognition is truly deserved, and I look forward to the impact our scholars will continue to make in their individual communities and the entire state of West Virginia,” Senator Capito said.
