WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) released the following statement regarding the Trump administration’s appointment of Roger Dahmer as the new state executive director for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) West Virginia Farm Service Agency (FSA):
“West Virginia’s farmers and ranchers need someone like Roger to deliver and implement solutions that will help our agriculture industries grow and thrive. With more than 30 years of experience, I know Roger will do great work as he oversees FSA programs important to West Virginia agriculture, and I look forward to working with him in his new role.”
BACKGROUND: Dahmer, of Franklin, West Virginia, has over 30 years of experience with FSA. He began his career as a county operations trainee in 1986. He has served as county executive director in various counties throughout the state and most recently in Pendleton County. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture from West Virginia University.
