CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R.-W.Va.) released the following statement about today’s dedication of the Biometrics Technology Center in Clarksburg, West Virginia:
“Today’s announcement highlights the strong partnership between DoD and the FBI in combatting terrorism at home and abroad. West Virginia University and Marshall University have made significant investments to create nationally recognized programs in biometrics, and this Clarksburg facility will continue to attract talented and dedicated professionals to West Virginia. I am proud to support funding through the appropriations process for West Virginia priorities such as these.”

Senator Capito serves on the Appropriations Committee and chairs the Legislative Branch Appropriations Subcommittee. For the first time in six years, all 12 appropriations bills have been reported out of committee and are ready for full Senate consideration.
