WASHINGTON, D.C. — Tonight, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, issued the following statement after voting to pass a continuing resolution that will fund the government through November 17, 2023:
“Tonight, my vote was as straightforward as it can be, to prevent a reckless and damaging shutdown of our federal government. This continuing resolution, the only one that could have passed the House, enables both the government to remain open and for us in Congress to pass appropriations bills in the most responsible way,” Senator Capito said.
