MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Today, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) traveled to Morgantown, W.Va. where she delivered remarks at the West Virginia University (WVU) School of Medicine Spring 2024 commencement ceremony. Additionally, Senator Capito received a Presidential Honorary Doctorate Degree from WVU President Dr. E. Gordon Gee.
“The education, research, and medical services being done here at the WVU School of Medicine is nothing short of life-changing, and I’ve seen it first-hand across a variety of departments. Each and every one of the graduates today has contributed to that, and the effect that they are making—and will continue to make—cannot be overstated. I cannot wait to see the impact that our graduates will go on to make across our state, country, and world in the future,” Senator Capito said.
