WESTON, W.Va. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) today visited the new Mountaineer Food Bank facility in Weston. Senator Capito has worked through her role on the Senate Appropriations Committee to ensure Mountaineer Food Bank can continue their valuable work, especially as the coronavirus pandemic has put additional strain on the already-busy operations.
“Since the onset of the pandemic, food banks have played a critical role in supplying families in need,” Senator Capito said. “The opening of this new facility will expand the territory served by Mountaineer Food Bank and help better serve families and individuals struggling with food insecurity.”
