CHARLESTON, W.Va. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W. Va.) today announced she will host three Academy Days during the fall semester for West Virginia students interested in learning more about admissions to the U.S. Service Academies and available ROTC scholarships.

“Nominating young men and women for admission to our country’s service academies is one of my most important responsibilities,” said Senator Capito. “These events provide students and their families with the tools needed to make an informed decision about attending a military academy and get a leg up on the admissions process. I am proud to assist the future leaders of America and hope they will attend these events to learn more about the opportunities available to them.”

Admissions representatives from the Air Force, Coast Guard, Army, Naval and Merchant Marine Academies and local ROTC scholarship program representatives will be available to answer questions from prospective students and their families, school counselors and teachers.

Representatives from Senator Capito’s office will provide information on academy nominations. In addition to meeting the admissions requirements of the Academy, each prospective student must also receive a nomination.
