WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) today released the following video ahead of Veterans Day, honoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

“Here we are today to thank our veterans for their service to our country, for protecting the homeland, and for their willingness to serve.
“Our nation would never be as great as we are without the truly dedicated and patriotic men and women who honor our cause by serving in our military.
“So as the daughter of a World War Two veteran, I say thank you every day for the sacrifices that my father and his generation made for us.
“I also say thank you to our present-day military who are fighting in foreign soils around the globe to protect us, and I want to thank all of our veterans today.
“You're close to our hearts, and we appreciate everything that you've done in service to our country.”
